for scientific activities

hosting exhibitions and public animations

A new space for exhibitions
and exchange open to all audiences,
dedicated to mathematics and
their interactions with our daily lives

« Set in Jean Perrin’s former laboratory, the Maison Poincaré will be a unique space of its kind, where scientists, middle school and high school students, teachers, and all those curious about science will come together », confides Sylvie Benzoni, director of the institute.

The Maison Poincaré will offer more than 900 m² meant for its permanent exhibition dedicated to mathematics and its applications. Visitors will be able to explore the history of this discipline across continents, understand the methods of nowadays’ researchers, and understand the influence of mathematics on our society and everyday lives. The Maison Poincaré will also host temporary exhibitions and activities – supervised by science communicators – around mathematics in all its forms.
